  • Wine and chocolate--take me away!!!!

So once again I have been neglecting this poor site.  To update, this week Shon is out of town.  I am supposed to have a booth at a craft fair, get everything ready for it, take the younger 2 to stay with my in-laws, and also take up clothes for the consignment sale.  On Monday, I started feeling bad and it continued throughout the day, so I didn't take Emma to ballet (great mother that I am ) and just came home.  Then our wonderful weathermen wee predicting 3-6 inches of snow, so I had to reschedule taking the 2 kids to meet in Conway the next day as I thought there would be--SNOW  So, Caleb is out of school Tuesday, and I have all 3 kids at home.  At 10 am, there is no more snow outside--not hard since we only got about an inch--not 3-6.  I still feel bad but have over 100 items to finish up before taking them up to the sale.  The kids fought all day long, Emma refused to take a nap because her nose is "sucked up", and she was whining about getting the  101 "Damnations" movie.  Caleb was doing his best to antagonize her, and Jake thought is was great fun to dump his cereal out 4 different times onto the carpet.  So hopefully tomorrow will  be a better day--Caleb will be back in school, and I will  be taking the younger 2 to Conway to meet my inlaws.  I got so irritated with Emma today that I told her she could just stay at her Meme's until she could act right, and she told me she never wanted to come home.  Fine by me  Hope everyone is well.  Will try to write more later.

  • Just another day in paradise

So I noticed that once again I have not been on here in a while, so I am going to attempt to do better.  Today was a pretty uneventful day (yea!).  I managed to get Caleb to school on time with his lunch today, and did a few things around the house before we left to run errands. We had to go to the bank, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, and then Hobby Lobby.  Jake woke up with a disgusting runny nose, and was also drooling, so he had a nice mixture going on all over his face. I am not sure if he is drooling from teeth or from the fat lip he got from a fall yesterday, but he didn't really want to have his pacifier in.  We went through a lot of Kleenex.  Emma was whiny from being awakened before 6 am (thanks Caleb!), and from her "bosquito" bites itching, and then me having to wake her up again at 7:50 to take Caleb to school. I had to meet a lady in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby at 12:15, so we were late getting down for naps. That meant I had to wake up Emma and Jake to pick Caleb up from school, and they both looked like they could use more sleep. I admit I didn't get much done around the house today, but after yesterday's fiasco at school, it was nice just to be home and be able to not do anything. Like I said, not much of an exciting day, but that's fine by me. Thanks for reading!

  • I am beginning to hate the holidays:)

So this weekend was supposed to be a chance for me to finish all my outstanding orders and have some fun. Instead, Emma went to the doctor on Friday and was put on an antibiotic for bacterial something or other. Then Friday night Jake spiked 104.4. Saturday I woke up with 101 and a cough. Couldn't sleep/rest Saturday night. Didn't make it to church (obviously).  Sunday night was ok, but Emma was still coughing like crazy and wouldn't stay in her bed. Caleb kept waking up in the middle of the night because he had seen the ending of Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and was having nightmares about skeletons.  Monday was ok--long naps  Monday afternoon, as I am changing Jake's diaper, I noticed a huge welp on his bottom--both sides. It also went around his legs. So I bathed him and gave him Benadryl, and it went down. I figured it was just from the fever. Well, I had bought new diapers and this morning I smelled them, and they reeked of smoke. So of course that meant a trip to Wal-Mart to take them back. Then I had to go to Hobby Lobby to buy thread to finish and embroidery project. So as we are shopping, I lift Jake up out of the seat and see more welps on his back above his diaper. So I made an appointment for the afternoon. Well, of course no one takes naps. I went into Jake's room, and he had removed his diaper and then pooped all over his bed.  The fun just never ends  So I bathed him and cleaned up the crib and through everything in the washer. At the doctor's office, Emma proceed to tell anyone that will listen how Jake pooped in his bed. Aren't kids great?  Hope everyone else has had a better weekend  Looking forward to the normalcy that comes with no holidays.

  • Well I am going to attempt to write here, as Megan so generously invited me to xanga  We have had an eventful week so far, as we were involved in a fender bender yesterday. Thankfully no one was hurt, but the front bumper of the car is probably going to have to be replaced.  That will teach me to try and hurry!  In my defense, Jake was screaming in the back, and a semi was blocking our lane even though our light was green. I had already sat through 1 green light for another semi, and was quite frustrated. God took care of us, though, as there was a policman right behind us, and the person that I hit was quite nice.  Also, no ticket!  And, we have accident forgivenesss, so our rates won't go up.  It could have been much worse.  We swung through McDonald's, and then everyone took a 2 hour nap once we got home.  Hopefully today will be better!
